The American Public Health Association (APHA) Public Health Nursing (PHN) Section invites you to attend the 9th Anti-racism Pre-conference: Anti-racism in the Age of Attacks on Racial Equity.
This free, hybrid workshop is on Saturday, Oct 26, 2024 from 1-4PM CT. The event is open to all, including non-members and individuals who are not attending the APHA Annual Meeting in Minneapolis.
The theme of this year’s Anti-racism Pre-conference is Antiracism in the Age of Attacks on Racial Equity. This is an opportunity to learn about and discuss the dynamics, barriers, and opportunities as we advance this vital work during a time when there are escalating attacks on social justice across our social and educational institutions. The Pre-conference will feature a distinguished panel of speakers followed by breakout groups to discuss implications for policy, research, education, and service.
To register for the workshop: go to secure.apha.org/IMIS/AnnualMeeting and follow the login process or create a new account. After inputting your personal /demographic information, there will be an option to register for Pre-Events Only.
If you have already registered for the Annual Meeting and would like to participate in the Anti-racism Preconference, use this link to log back into your registration to add the workshop: show.jspargo.com/apha24/regchange/default.asp.
Please be sure to register in advance and feel free to share widely. We look forward to seeing you, whether in person in Minneapolis or on Zoom!
