The Nursing Experts: Translating the Evidence project is a collaborative effort between the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Nursing Urbana campus, UIC Library of Health Sciences, and other clinical partners throughout the state of Illinois. The goal of this project is to educate acute, ambulatory, school and population health nurses on where to find free and reliable evidentiary resources and how to effectively apply this knowledge to inform and impact practice. Participants are asked to complete free online evidence-based education modules, a brief pre-module survey and a brief post module completion survey. In return, they will earn 7 FREE CEUs at the completion of all modules and the pre-post surveys! Each module is only 25 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes in length (an average of 45 minutes) for a total of 7 hours. Modules can be completed at your leisure from now through July 15th, 2021. You can login an logout of the system to complete as many modules as you wish at one time. The modules can be accessed here: https://go.uic.edu/phnext for population health and school nurses and https://go.uic.edu/acnext for acute and ambulatory care nurses. Your survey feedback is very important and are needed to give an accurate picture of the evidence-based practice knowledge and resource needs of practicing nurses. The results will be reported as group data only. Each survey takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. By completing this survey, you are voluntarily granting the quality improvement team your permission to use your responses in fulfilling the purpose of this project. All responses will be kept confidential and again only reported as group data. There are no known risks associated with this quality improvement project.
